The Monster Army tried to engulf them on a large scale, they would use their speed advantage to escape far away.
If they attempted to split their forces to attack them, they would lure them into the wilderness, ambush and consume them. On the periphery, a detachment of Gnoll Ferocity Mink Cavalry waited to assist them. They were all of Dragon Veins, Dragon Blood, and even Dragonized Gnolls, endowed with Spell-Like Abilities and capable of making traps. Although they did not specialize in trap-making as the Gnoll Trap Maker of the Pitfall Brigade did, they were more than sufficient for small-scale localized warfare.
If those Hobgoblin Wolf Cavalry were not dealt with, they would periodically make aggressive moves or consume any that fell behind or strayed too far apart.
In summary, they took hit-and-run tactics to the extreme, infuriating the Noble Giant Trolls to the point of constant cursing without being able to do anything about it, as they had no Elite Cavalry to use.
