Not only were the Koutao Fishmen onshore affected, but even those in Yewen Pond who hadn't managed to escape far were impacted, each crawling ashore on their own accord and walking toward the Corpse Spider Elf.
Initially, only about half of the Koutao Fishmen ashore were affected, with many not having time to come ashore.
The Corpse Spider Elf's control ability clearly had a range of influence, with Koutao Fishmen closer to it being more severely affected. Many, particularly those in the water or beyond the range of the clicking sound, were not controlled; they fled like a spooked herd of animals away from the Corpse Spider Elf.
The Koutao Fishmen, completely dominated by fear, lost all sense of direction. They did not uniformly flee toward their homeland, the Black Prison, but scattered in all directions. Some directly swarmed into the upstream of the Ashaba River, others followed the current downwards, and yet others went upstream along two other rivers.
