When these Troll Warbands were plunged into chaos and collapse, it would also become the moment when they faced massive death; no matter how fast their regeneration, they couldn't keep up with the speed of damage dealt by enemies several tens of times their own, especially by those who were prepared.
For these Trolls, the migrating army had established a strategy of utter eradication from the very beginning. Their very nature meant that they were a group of monsters that were difficult to tame. Having Hobgoblins as monster races was enough; there was no need to gather more unruly species.
What's more, these were Demon worshippers - with them, there was even less room for sentiment, even less reason to let them stay. Uprooting them entirely was the true path to victory.
