Upon the Great Marsh, four broad-bellied square boats heavily laden floated hazily toward the mountain valley.
Liang Qu and Ran Zhongyi entered the boat's central cabin from staircases on either side, through a narrow corridor. A cold white mist hit their faces, swirling downwards.
"Whew, it's much more comfortable in here than outside."
Liang Qu exhaled a breath of warm air and stepped into the mist-filled ice storage room, stretching his shoulders, feeling thoroughly refreshed.
Outside, it was late May, the sun was dazzling, and the heat was astonishing. A slight movement would unavoidably cause one to break out in a profuse sweat.
Yet inside the cabin, it was like a cold storage room.
Stepping in, the intense heat of summer dissipated in the blink of an eye, which was really pleasant.
Passing by the side of the pale blue ice blocks, the white mist trailed along the folds of their clothing.
