It was a dark rainy day, I could vividly remember the thunderstorms crumbling, the rain was heavily pouring. And I was there crying my heart out, hugging a lifeless, bloody corpse – I couldn't hear anything but the screeching sound of agony and pain. Blood was flowing rapidly, covering my body and the floor.

"Hey, wake up! Its time for school you little spider" screaming from my right ear, "Wake up! Your gonna be late for school again!" I could feel my body being shaken rapidly, as if it wanted me to get up, I slightly opened my eyes and it was my little sister, Annie, she was 5 years younger than me – despite her age, she's quite matured on her own. "Mom's a bit sick today and I let her rest, now get your ass up and go cause I'm gonna be late!" she said in an angry tone and slammed the door.
"Sheesh, didn't she know it's a Saturday?" I slowly rubbed my eyes and stretched my body, as I got out of bed and prepared myself for the day. As I got downstairs, I saw my parents sitting on the couch and watched the news. "Oh my, how tragic, a young girl just lost both of her parents in a fire accident" Mom said with a sad tone, "We better get ready, since its that time of season due to the hot climate were experiencing" Dad replied with a firm tone. "MOM DAD! YOU BETTER GET READY, WE HAVE SCHOOL TODAY!" Annie loudly screamed as she finished dressing up, "AND MOM! Why are you not in bed? You're sick" she gently went to Mom and hugged her tightly. "Oh my sweet little Annie, don't push yourself too hard, you gotta enjoy your life while you're young" Mom said with a gentle tone. "Exactly, you should stay in bed honey, and Annie, it's a Saturday there's no classes for you and Red" Dad said chuckling as he looked at Annie's weird outfit "You look like you're going to the Blood Moon Festival" Dad said, who couldn't contain his laughter.
We all laughed at Annie and she was blushing the playfully hit our father, "Daddy! You are such a meanie! From now on, I am not your little princess" she furious walked out, sulking at Dad and left for her room. Dad was just laughing and wiped his tears, "Ahhh, Annie used to be such a baby but now she became a little woman" he said, mom replied "Dear, its okay just let Annie embrace the phases she's going through in her life" Mom assured Dad.
"Mom, Dad, I'm heading out" I said, "Okay honey, be careful! Be back before supper, I'm cooking your favorite" Mom said, as she and Dad gently waved at me. I nodded and went out. It was such bright day, a nice day to head to the library.
As I was walking down the streets, I sensed someone was following me, I walked a bit faster and went to a busy street, I looked around and it was gone. I must have lost it, with these people around me. I saw the library and headed inside, it was such a peaceful place to be, the smell of books and the silence was music to my ears. I went to get my favorite book and read it for hours.
As I finished my book, I went up to get a new one and saw a familiar face. It was someone, I knew before but I couldn't remember who – my head was starting to ache and I brushed it off and continued to do my business. After searching in all the bookshelves, I couldn't find something interesting, as I was searching, I saw a vaguely unique book, something I hadn't seen before. It has weird symbols in it and I felt like it was calling me, my body was instantly drawn to that book, and I saw my hands grabbing it, I couldn't control myself and got the book in my hands.
"Are you getting that miss?" the librarian suddenly appeared behind me, I was startled at her presence, she must have been there for a while and I didn't notice. "Ahh, no I was just checking it out since it's the first time I saw a book like this" I replied while holding the book, "Rather, you look new, where's Mrs. Pumpkins? I saw her a while ago in the counter" I added. "Oh, I'm Ms. Woods, I'm her new replacement, as you see Mrs. Pumps is getting quite old and she needed someone younger to handle her job, and today's my first day, pleasure to meet you miss?" she gently said and gave her hand, "I'm Red, and it's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Woods" I replied and shook her hand.
"Well, its almost closing time Ms. Red, and I gotta go, these books ain't going back by themselves, ta ta" she said happily and left pushing a book of cart. I waved and looked at the book again, I was really curious on what's in it and immediately, out of nowhere I went to the counter and signed a card to brought it home.
What I didn't know was this was going to change my life.
