In the coliseum all the captains of each squad were in a room separated from the observation area of the arena.
"Kekeke…So Fuegoleon,I heard you housed an orphan and he went to captain yami's squad." A tall gangly man said to Fuegoleon.
"Indeed,he was trained by my sister and yami offered a spot to his squad at which Arata accepted,and Noelle Silva joined along with him,but I hope your squad is doing well jack."
Nebra hearing this again thought to herself,'I wonder how Arata is settling,maybe I should Visit him.'
as she was thinking that an unknown portal opened up,making the various captains and their squad mates go into fighting stances.
And out came captain yami and an unknown boy that all but Nozelle and Fuegoleon knew about.
" sheesh Arata I didn't think you could use special magic,when did you learn this?","I asked finral about special magic and asked him to demonstrate,then I modified my newly acquired special magic to allow me to portal to places I have seen on a map."
"Welcome captain yami,and I see you've brought Arata." Fuegoleon said as all eyes looked at the boy.
"Well everyone I think it time we start the exams." A man with a mask says to all at which everyone stood up and walked into the observation area.
Arata who saw asta in the distance tapped yami's shoulder,"huh? What's up Arata do you see the recruit you mentioned?", I nodded and explained the appearance of asta to yami.
-6 hours of canon stuff happening later-
"Now we shall start the sparring matches,starting with sekke and asta!",at which asta and a stupid looking guy walked onto the stage,and soon asta pulled his sword and brought down the blade on sekke.
Soon after asta yelled to all the people observing his match," I'm not doing this to take it easy,I WILL BE THE WIZARD KING!!!"
After Asia's match everyone else's matches felt bland up until yuno's match's came up,which ended exactly how it did in the anime.
Soon after the matches concluded and we hear the proctor," when you hear your number walk to the center and if anyone raises their hands,you go to them,if multiple captains raise their hands you get to choose,anyone with no hands raised,well better luck next year!"
Everything was like the anime canon up until it went to asta.
"Hey kid,I heard you wish to be a wizard king without having magic power? Even when facing everyone else who vies for that title will you back down?"yami asks asta,at which asta shouts with confidence," I'll never give up on my dreams even if it's hopeless!!!!"
Yami hearing this starts to chuckle," alright kid I'll have you join my squad,besides. This guy already vouched for you." At which yami pointed his thumb at Arata.
"HUH?! I KNOW YOU,YOU WERE THE GUY WHO WAS AT THAT CABIN!"asta says at which Arata nods.
"Welcome to the black bulls asta,and know that I'll be vying to that title as well,so I hope you don't mind a rival!",at which asta just smiled which said 'bring it!'
This begins the budding friendship and rivalry of Arata and asta.
