Running in the forest, jumping from branch to branch, August's only focus is rescuing Fedir.
Ignoring all of the scratches and bruises he got from the trees, he found the campus where the Demons were. They were scattered around the area, but one cluster of demons around a tree, August went forward for a closer look. He was shocked by what just happened in a few minutes. Fedir tied onto the tree, he was bruised all over his body, with small cuts on his face. The demons were laughing and getting all giddy with themselves. Fedir was barely holding on.
August rushed forward, jumped right onto the cluster of demons making an entrance for himself. A demon started yelling, he glared back with his hand on his sword. He brandished his sword, cutting the rope that held him down. Once he was halfway done a woman's voice spoke out of nowhere, "A big chump, aren't ya?" She laughed.
It looked to be a woman with puffy hair tied back, wearing armor that covered her upper area with skin showing to her waist, a belt with a sword tied to it. A skirt flowing down covering below knee length. Her face was just as warriors, cold tempered, and monstrous. She had horns like sheep on both sides of her head, but the left side was seen to be broken.
It was the commander of the demon army.
August knew he was in big trouble now. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
The demons suddenly went quiet, the amount of respect they have for their commander is quite frightening. She was cautious of her surroundings, she left a gap between her and August. August looked back at Fedir, who was still tied up. He was half awake and half faint.
"Commander Volya, Skip the formalities. I want to know why you pieces of trash came into my territory," Volya glared straight at August with a cold temperament. She held a sword, pointing straight at August, prepared to give no mercy.
"Miss, I'd rather talk things out rather than fight to death" August nervously implied.
"Hah! Yeah sure, go ahead as if we would let you go after your little friend stole our treasure!" Volya exclaimed.
The demons started chattering, "It was originally created by the previous lord!" one demon exclaimed.
"How could we just let it slip away, this treasure is more important than their own lives!" another demon complained.
August turned around and looked at Fedir, confused.
"Liars! It originated from the Capital, Yana! It was stolen by your previous demon lord and claimed that he created it!" Fedir glared at all of them, his tone was soft but yet filled with aggression.
"Don't you dare accuse him of anything! You petty heavenly people blame us demons for everything! Not a single righteous thing can be said about us because you guys claim the credit!" The crowd of demons started arguing against Fedir.
August wanted to question Fedir, but he was not in a state to do so.
"Enough!" Volya shouted.
Unannounced, Volya took a step forward, lifted her sword up into the air and came down only to be hit by nothing but air.
The rope that once held Fedir onto the tree was gone!
Before Volya could even land a hit on August he swiftly spun around slicing the rope into bits, grabbed Fedir by his arm and left without a trace.
Volya gritted her teeth and looked back, "What are y'all standing there for?! Get them! They couldn't have escaped that far yet!"
The demons were scared for a moment but then snapped back into reality and replied with, "Yes ma'am!"
August soared through the air, landed on a tree branch. Fedir was still in his hand, knocked out. August let out a brief sigh then went deeper into the forest to find the other two, Vasyl and Arthur.
.
.
.
As time passed by, August saw two figures in the trees, Arthur and Vasyl!
They both were sitting, their heads facing low to the ground. Once they heard someone coming they quickly stood up and gripped tight onto their swords only to be shocked by what they saw, "Senior! and…Fedir! You guys are Back–" Vastly worriedly exclaimed, but he was cut off by Arthur, "How is he?"
"A bit faint and bruised but he will be fine," August laid Fedir down.
"A bit? He's bruised all over, don't you have medicine or some kind of potion to help?" Arthur questioned.
"Does it look like there would be anything on me?" August was fatigued from going back and forth rescuing these sophomores.
"True,"
Arthur glanced at Vasyl signaling if he had anything. Vasyl pulled out a potion from his sleeve and poured it onto Fedir's body, "This should cure the pain for at least an hour or two."
"What should we do now?" a brief sigh came from Vasyl.
"Well, there's one more problem I forgot to point out," August nervously laughed.
"What is it?" Arthur sounded unamused.
"Well…The demonic army conducted a search on us because they claimed Fedir for stealing their treasure that apparently originated from the previous demon lord. But Fedir claimed it to have originated from the Capital, Yana."
Arthur and Vasyl looked both confused.
"A treasure that originated from Yana claimed to be created by the previous demon lord?" Vasyl knitted his brows with a frown on his face.
"Is there something wrong?" August wore a confused face.
"Do you really not know the story of the Yana Capital?" Vasyl pondered.
Vasyl was interrupted by noises coming from below them, it was the demons!
"Shit!" Arthur yelled.
"Follow me, someone carry Fedir, we can't leave him here!" August shouted.
Every movement August made was swift, jumping and flying into the air, the sophomores were following him, just as he ordered them too. They went deeper and deeper into the forest, but even more demons followed them. They reached a point where they drained too much of their mana and were exhausted. August spotted a cave where they could set a barrier to prevent the demons from entering.
"Follow me! Go down into that cave!" August shouted.
The sophomores did just as he said, but there was something eerie about the cave. The demons were shocked to see that they went inside of the cave and swiftly ran away. The cave was filled with stalagmites, and rocks.
Once they all finally had caught their breath, fire suddenly lit up inside of the cave, "Oh come on, one thing after another! When do we ever get a break?!" Arthur complained.
"Shh, be quiet," August whispered.
August took a step forward, the entire cave lit up, all three of them widened their eyes. There was a woman sitting on a gold throne, she wore a crown with feathers around, her eyes were amber gold, her facial features were just as beautiful as the sun gleaming, with long golden white hair, she wore golden armor, the gold made her look more exaggerated.
There was a man next to her, his body was unordinary, his upper half of his body was human but the other half was goat legs. His ears were long and pointy. His face would make a maiden faint to the ground due to his handsomeness.
As they looked around, they found a woman sitting in a seashell, surrounded by water. She had fins covering half of her body, just like a mermaid, but sharp and pointier. Her scales were a deep blue fading into a light blue. She had brown hazel hair flowing down all the way to the start of her fin, with sharp black eyes.
Lastly, in the middle of them all, there sat a demon-like creature. He had horns on each side of his head, with long black hair fading into a midnight blues. His eyes were the colors of rubies, they looked to be deadly as if millions of lives were killed by it, but yet, shimmered in the light. There was a scar on his left eye, it looked to be healed already. The man had fine facial features, his skin was pale, while his teeth were sharp. He wore a black robe with a red shirt underneath his black vest.
The three of them knew that they were in big trouble facing these creatures.
