Chapter 15 - Hervy, The Pervy

They knew how to conduct themselves. For their Captain to send a voice transmission meant the place he would take them was definitely unusual

Therefore, with mixed emotions, they stood up and started browsing through the quests.

There were easy quests that even Mana Condensation Mages could complete and even difficult quests that were certain death for even Bone Tempering Mages.

Hunt four One-Horned-Wolves from the Bane Forest - 100 Copper Coins.

Escort merchant James Orchard to Harmony City - 50 Low-Grade Mana Stones.

When Lane saw the escort quest, he could not believe his eyes. He pointed at the paper and said:

"Hey, Captain, what about this quest?"

Lane paused for a moment, and once everyone looked at where he was pointing, he continued:

"The requirement to take the quest is to have at least two Tendon Tempering Mages. With Hervy and me, plus you're now a Bone Tempering Mage, this quest should be easy Mana Stones, no?"

Hervy's eyes brightened. Immediately, his mind became filled with plump, juicy thighs. Drool leaked from his lips. Unconsciously, he muttered:

"Captain, let's take it, little Xu'er is waiting for me."

Cody and Coby's closed eyes twitched.

"Hervy-"

"The-"

"Pervy!"

They said one after the other.

Since the Adventurer's Guild was quiet except for their voices, everyone heard the twins' words and immediately broke out into laughter.

Lane also joined them in laughter.

However, the twins remained stoic.

Hervy did not mind the twins' words or the laughter. He only felt they were missing out! Nothing was better than the soft embrace of a woman!

On the other hand, Garrett felt complicated when he read, 'Harmony City'. His heart had even skipped a beat. Until today, he and his family had only been able to continue living simply because his bastard father and his Master believed they had died.

If he were to show up in Harmony City and someone noticed him, he would doom his mother and sister.

Compared to his life, his mother and sister were more important.

But, suddenly, he remembered.

'My entire face and body has changed.'

Before the tragedy, he had been weak and skinny. To hide his appearance, he had put on overwhelming muscles. But now, those muscles were not needed. He was a completely different man.

"Alright, let's take the quest." He tore the quest from the board and strode to the reception counter, followed by his party members.

As Garrett and his party approached the reception counter, the receptionist shook off her shock from Garrett's sudden transformation and warmly smiled.

"Good morning, Lion's Liver. How may I help you?"

Garrett nodded and handed the quest to the receptionist. He then said:

"We would like to take this escort quest."

The receptionist read the quest and frowned.

"Apologies, sir Garrett, but the escort mission has been delayed by a day."

Garrett, Lane, and Hervy frowned. Cody and Coby remained indifferent, without a change in their expressions.

After a moment, Garrett turned to his party and asked:

"Do you guys mind if we leave tomorrow?"

"No."

"No."

Cody and Coby merely shook their heads.

After turning back to the receptionist, Garrett smiled and said:

"We will take it."

The receptionist blushed. Garrett was a bit too handsome now. He was now a diamond among the mud. Just a simple smile caused her heartbeat to accelerate. Only after a couple of seconds did she finally recover and manage a meek response:

"I will inform sir Orchard of the good news."

After thanking the receptionist, Garrett and his party left the Adventurer's Guild, unaware that their names would become even more famous.

To the residents of Thunderfall City, a sixth Bone Tempering Mage was huge news. It meant more protection in case of an invasion from evil Mages or Magical Beast hordes.

"Captain, where are you taking us? Hervy grumbled and pointed north. "Pleasure Pavilion is that way."

"My little Xu'er is waiting for me!"

'...' Garrett looked at him darkly.

"You must be the only pervert among the nobles."

Hervy merely chuckled lewdly and said:

"Captain, there are more perverts among the nobles than among commoners. I'm just open about my love for beautiful women."

Garrett did not respond. He was well aware of that.

During their brief conversation, their footsteps had never halted. Soon, they arrived at the four-way intersection, and he pointed to the beautiful building, Transcendence, and said:

"We're here. This is where I wanted to take you guys." Then, he narrowed his eyes and gravely warned, "But remember one thing, don't offend the owner of the restaurant Even now, I can't see through him. All I know is that he is way stronger than me."

Cody and Coby opened their eyes and could not help but mutter in astonishment.

"So-"

"Beautiful!"

Even though the restaurant's lights were off, just from the illumination from the morning sun, they were able to see the interior.

Lane, meanwhile, frowned. He did not think their Captain would take them to a restaurant. Just after a single glance, he knew the price of dishes would be sky-high. Could it be he was going to treat them?

'Captain probably wants to celebrate his ascension to a Bone Tempering Mage.'

Then, he frowned as he continued to muse:

'When did this restaurant appear here? …And why do I feel a familiar feeling?'

On the other hand, Hervy was disappointed beyond belief.

"Captain, if you want to eat, we can eat at the Pleasure Pavilion."

For a moment, Garrett did not respond. His eyes were on the closed sign. Because of the heat of the moment, he had forgotten the owner had closed his restaurant for the day.

But just as he was about to take his party members somewhere else, he saw some words magically being written on the window before disappearing.

"Transcendence will open in two hours." Garrett read the words out loud, causing him to shiver in fright.

Behind the window, there had been no one. So, who wrote the words?

'Could it be the owner is the rumored Ghost?'
