Sensing Lucian's sudden movement, Lily's body stiffened.
'Is Big Brother Lucian going to hit Lily?' She thought incredulously, frightened by the notion. Not even her evil father had ever hit her before.
However, after a moment, she tightly closed her eyes and continued, "Even if Big Brother Lucian hits Lily, Lily deserves it!"
But instead of a strike, Lily felt a big, warm hand gently patting her head.
'So warm,' Lily thought, unconsciously rubbing her little head against Lucian's hand.
Lucian smiled.
'She's more like a cat than a Pixie,' He mused.
After a moment, while he patted her head, Lucian asked, "Why would I ever hit you, Lily?"
"B-but. It's all Lily's fault. If Lily didn't-"
Before Lily could continue, Lucian interrupted her, "Even if I didn't promise you, I would have still cooked the Sous Vide Filet Mignon. Also, don't you remember I said the Sous Vide Filet Mignon was originally mine?"
