Chapter 19 - Chapter 19:Unveiling the Immortal Soul

In the opulent living room of the Kang estate , Kang Jin and his father (Kang Ha) sat , their words carrying a sense of perplexity. Kang Jin looked at his dad, puzzled. "What's become of that girl?" he asked, his voice laced with a touch of amusement. His dad, unable to sit still, paced the room with crossed arms.

"I find her change in persona quite intriguing," his dad pondered out loud. "How can someone undergo such a transformation?"

Kang agreed, his curiosity piqued. "It is indeed strange," he chimed in, adding fuel to the intrigue.

Their conversation took an unexpected turn as Kang Jin raised a question about Kim Song, the controversial figure who found himself behind bars.

"Why did she send Kim Song to prison?" Kang Jin inquired, looking for answers.

His dad, maintaining a cryptic demeanor, responded, "Don't poke your nose in that business. Focus on finding a lawyer for Kim Song. We must ensure he gets out."

Kang Jin's bewilderment grew. "Wait, what do you mean? Why do you want him released?" he asked.

The tension thickened, and Kang Jin's father grew guarded.

"I said don't poke your nose in this, Kang Jin," his dad reiterated, adding an ominous undertone to his words. "Everything is highly complicated. Keep your distance."

Sensing a deeper mystery, Kang Jin pressed on, "Dad, are you hiding something from me?"

Kang Jin's father remained evasive, dismissing his son's query with a simple "No."

But Kang Jin was not convinced. The air between them bristled with tension as he pressed on. "Dad, are you sure?" he inquired, his voice laced with skepticism.

Kang Jin's father remained evasive, dismissing his son's query with a simple "No."

Kang Jin's father sighed, his expression hardening. "Kang Jin, I said drop it. It's not safe. The situation is far more tangled than you think."

Kang Jin persisted, his frustration bubbling. "But Dad, I deserve to know. I can handle it."

His father's patience wore thin as he leaned closer to Kang Jin.

"Kang Jin, I'm warning you. Back off," he hissed. "This isn't a game, and you're not ready to handle the reality. It's better for everyone involved if you stay ignorant. Trust me."

In the somber gloom of his prison cell,

Kim Song's face pressed against the glass divide.

Seeking news of Hye-Jin's state of mind,

His subordinate responded with a pensive reply.

" I sense something's off with her,but Mr Kang will take care of her"

Kim Song, his voice grave, issued orders firm,

"Ensure delivery of items, then contact Dr. Jung Wook."

Yoo In Ha, a loyal subordinate of the enigmatic Kim Song, approached the hospital, purpose in his footsteps. Arriving at Dr. Jung Wook's office, he swiftly announced his task.

"The delivery is complete, the goods now reside within the pharmacy," Yoo In Ha reported.

Dr. Jung Wook, a figure of authority, responded with a firm directive. "Excellent. I'll immediately prepare the surgery room. Wait for further instructions."

Time passed as Jung Wook meticulously prepared the surgery room. Just as a patient had been operated on, he emerged with a thick, black plastic bag in hand. His gaze hardened as he handed the bag to Yoo In Ha.

"Pass on this message to your boss," Jung Wook said, his voice carrying a potent threat. "Hye Jin is my woman. Should either he or his people dare to lay a hand on her, there would be dire consequences he shall know."

Yoo In Ha nodded, taking the thick bag, the weight of the message palpable. This was a declaration, a warning, and a promise all rolled into one. As he departed, Yoo In Ha's eyes held a mix of respect and wariness. He had become the bearer of a potent threat, one that would surely reverberate through the corridors of power.

In the opulent room where the groom and bride-to-be sat, Hye-Jin entered with a sardonic greeting.

"Congratulations to the happy couple," she said, a touch of mockery lacing her words. Her gaze then turned to Lee-Bo-Young.

"Now that he's about to marry you, return my heart core," Hye-Jin demanded, raising an eyebrow.

Lee-Bo-Young laughed, her voice mocking. "You think I'd give it back? You should know demons don't keep their promises."

The air in the room crackled with tension as Park-Min-Joon stood up suddenly.

"No, Bo-Young, don't do this," he pleaded. "You promised that if I married you, you'd give it back."

But Lee-Bo-Young's response was ruthless.

"Then see if you can take it from me," she retorted, a heartless smile playing on her lips. As if summoned by her words, the heart core appeared in her palm, its vibrant red hue a stark contrast against her skin.

Park-Min-Joon made a feeble attempt to stop her, but it was too late. She had already begun to crush it, the sound of glass shattering filling the room.

Seeing this, Lee-Bo-Young looked at Hye-Jin, stunned and confused.

"Why are you not dying?" she asked, her voice trembling with disbelief.

Hye-Jin, her face marked by a sinister smile, replied calmly.

"How can a lowly demon kill me?" she said, her voice carrying a chilling undertone. "I am your superior in every way."

As Hye-Jin spoke, she stepped closer to Bo-Young, her gaze fixed like a coiled serpent.

"What are you really?" Bo-Young asked, fear in her eyes.

Hye-Jin leaned in, slowly closing the space between them. Her voice was a low hiss as she revealed her identity.

"I am Lucifer's bloodline," she said, a dark aura surrounding her. "His blood flows within me, and he would suffer the same consequences should he try to kill me."

Park-Min-Joon stood there, astonished, mumbling to himself, his voice hushed yet filled with disbelief.

"No, it can't be," he murmured. "My woman cannot be that."

He looked at Hye-Jin's eyes, the red iron iris burning with a supernatural brilliance.

"How is she immortal?" he whispered, the reality of the situation slowly sinking in.

Hye-Jin turned to him, a smirk on her lips.

"Now you see, my dear," she said, her voice dripping with cruel mockery. "Your woman is not what you thought she was."

Park-Min-Joon looked at her with mixed emotions, the woman he thought he loved now standing before him as an immortal figure beyond his comprehension.

In his eyes, there was a mixture of disbelief, shock, and a hint of terror. The room seemed to close in, the truth weighing heavily upon his soul.
