Chapter 2 - Hilgamech
He shook intensely on the bed with sweat soaking his entire figure. However, after a long while, his mind calmed.
It was 7:30am in the morning.
So, he stood from bed and pulled apart the curtains, hanging them on a golden hook that was screwed tightly to the wall at both sides.
The moment he separated the curtains, flood of soft rays of light from the sun came in, illuminating the room.
This room was astonishingly spacious, and was grandly decorated and excellently furnished. The beauty and magnificence of the room greatly surpassed even the ones that noble or princely figures slept in.
His bed was large and gave the feeling of unparalleled extravagance.
The entire wooden frame of his bed gave an alluring, captivating sheen. They were coated with a type of paint that produced the feeling that it was of the best quality.
The wood used to make the mirror frame, wardrobe, shelf, cabinet, rack, chair, and table were from very rare trees in remote regions. They emitted pleasant scents that calmed the mind and relaxed the body.
Not long, since he had calmed, he entered the bathroom to take his shower.
After he finished showering, he dressed up in tight-fitting black clothes and sat on his bed.
He thought back to the dream he had. He had been having this same dream since he was four, and now he was twelve.
Every time it happened, he always screamed up from bed. The dream was extremely terrifying.
''Who's that man? Why do I keep dreaming of him?" He asked inwardly.
He had never told anyone about these dreams except his uncle.
This 'supreme expert', as this young boy called him, had left a great and everlasting impression in him.
He named him so because the man seemed unconquerable. He stood tall and indomitable, battling dozens of god-like beings by himself.
In his memory where the figure of the man had been deeply engraved into, he was tall, extremely dashing, and looked divine, radiating blood-chilling waves of awesome, terrific power. This boy believed this man was the most powerful existence ever, concluding that he was a god.
This boy's name was Hilgamech. He was twelve years in age. He had bright blue eyes and long, raven-black hair. One really impacting feature about him was that he was admirably handsome. He had a symmetrical and perfect, well-defined face that seemed carved by an heavenly sculptor who indulged in extraordinarily beautiful or alluring things.
As for his eyes which seemed to hold powerful enchantments in them—since anyone that would gaze at them would instantly feel mesmerized or captivated, they seemed to radiate both unbound determination and exceeding courage. They seemed like the eyes of a relentless and adventurous, free-spirited benevolent being.
Then the really dark hair that poured down from his scalp like a waterfall—going beyond his waist and was silky in appearance, looked healthy and really vibrant in appearance. Even a lady with good long hair that was bouncy and full, will admire and envy his.
He had a flawless white skin that was mirror-smooth. It was free of blemishes, spots, folds, and wrinkles. He simply looked like an unequaled beauty. If not that he had great hints of masculinity—for example, his broad shoulders, well-built manly figure, and many more, a lot of people would mistake him for a great and absolutely rare beauty that cities could go to war for.
The tight-fitting black clothes that he wore which further accentuated his impressively great figure, added to his really striking handsomeness.
After a long moment of thinking about the caped man, he went to see his uncle.
His uncle had been taking care of him since he was a baby. He had been a fatherly figure to him.
He loved this uncle of his so dearly he wouldn't hesitate to jump in front of him to receive a deep stab to the chest—directly at the heart.
As he walked, with the aim of going to his uncle's room, he met hundreds of workers moving along the hallway to tend to duties they were employed for.
He politely exchanged greetings with every one of them with a cute smile hung on his lips and continued on his way.
Due to his politeness, friendliness, and accommodating spirit, despite being born with hundreds of silver and golden spoons, he wasn't rude or annoying. He was affable, accommodating, generous, and really handsome—another impressive factor about him. So, the workers dearly loved him, ready to do anything he asks of them.
Hilgamech was the friendly type. One could approach him and easily become friends with him. Despite having an uncle who had astonishing, tremendous wealth, he wasn't proud and arrogant like the sons of other wealthy families.
The wealth his uncle had didn't get to his head. He wasn't attached to material things. Instead, he was more attached to people's feelings. He had empathy for people. He was moved by people's emotions. So this resulted in him being kind and highly generous.
He gave things to people if he saw that they lacked it or if they requested for it from him. It was through him workers could collect stuffs from their boss who was Hilgamech's uncle, since they weren't comfortable with approaching him for their requests.
Also, as a twelve-year-old child who just had an impressive height for his age, he was simple-minded and lovable. It was these endearing attributes of his that made the workers so dearly love him.
As for the workers, they were people employed to maintain the enormous and really majestic, imposing mansion that he and his uncle lived in.
These workers were very plenty that they numbered in the thousands. Also, many of them had their families living here too, who also worked to get remuneration that were 'tremendously fat' in amounts.
The mansion they maintained was really massive in size—just the building alone could swallow up large estates. So, due to its mind-blowing size, it occupied a tremendously large area of land. But, this mansion was also built on an estate that could swallow up hundreds of other colossal estates. This estate was the Thellgarr Vlarrhiglade Estate; the biggest estate in the city that even massive, governmental residential estates wouldn't be able to rival its size and alluring, exotic aesthetics.
Then in this estate could be seen tall and really magnificent buildings that were many times impressive than the palatial mansion of a king or city lord.
The estate was a hubbub of numerous lucrative businesses. It had many restaurants, inns, shops, clinics, and what have you that don't pay taxes. Also, very large and excellent, low-cost accommodation houses could be seen here, which were rented out to people at extremely cheap prices.
This grand, stately estate was owned by Hilgamech's uncle who had lots of powerful firms and organizations in many other places in the city and in other cities—probably hundreds of them. And he had great affluence that one could easily say from all these that he was the richest in their continent. He simply existed in a state where he had no equal when it came to possession of wealth and assets—which were seemingly countless and therefore, unquantifiable.
