Chapter 84 - CH-82 Orders

"Do what?" the voice inquired with nervousness.

Twilight responded with a sly smile, swiftly drawing her sword from behind Zinta's back and delivering a powerful blow to the base of his skull, rendering him unconscious on the spot.

Twilight proposed coolly. "Let's make an oath. I will free you from this ring's curse, and in return, you both shall work under my command to dismantle the vile organization that wronged you."

"Okay!" the voice responded, doubt lurking in her tone yet she recognized the mutually advantageous arrangement.

She agreed without hesitation, her desire for vengeance burning fiercely.

Twilight arched an inquisitive eyebrow. "And what if your husband does not acquiesce?"

"Do not fret, Miss. We both are thirsty for retribution. He will follow wherever I lead," the feminine voice stated with firm conviction.

"Oh, is that so!" Twilight watched her surroundings, eyes still as icy as glaciers and she took in the staggering numbers.

Hundreds of shambling corpses crowded the area, putrid and relentless. Even more unsettling were the few mortals becoming amongst the undead horde.

"What a pain in the ass. They better be dead around me and let me do my job." She exhaled a weary sigh and focused on the spirit essence in the sword.

Verdant mist coalesced around the blade of her sword, imbuing it with the essence of the spirit realm.

The misty aura glows with an incandescent blue radiance.

Twilight whipped the enchanted blade in a blinding arc, its azure light leaving phantom trails in its wake.

An immense crescent beam of mystical power released, reaping a path of destruction through the legion of undead.

The blazing azure energies vaporized every uneducated abomination in their radius for over 500 meters. As the last vapor trails dissipated, Twilight straightened, rolling her shoulders.

She reached out with her inner vision, ascertaining her status after the climactic battle.

"Hmph!" Twilight hummed through the fabric of reality inside the ring, used her legendary Omniversal Annihilation power, and parted the veil between realms.

Her eyes blazed with cosmic power as she stepped into the prison dimension, a space forged by ancient sorceries to entrap the most formidable of foes.

"H-How are you here?" a disembodied voice trembled with a hint of disapproval.

"Only those who imprisoned me in this accursed place could breach its boundaries. And they are already dead by the hands of my husband."

Twilight's gaze fell upon the speaker, a woman, on her knee, bound by arcane shackles that pulsed with runic inscriptions.

She had long blue hair, yellow cat like eyes, and a sexy voluptuous figure with white skin.

"What is your name?" Twilight examined the runes on it, "And I had assumed only your soul was trapped here, yet you possess a body."

"M-My name is Ginny." The prisoner rasped, her voice strained by the siphoning of her life force.

"And those who trapped me here proclaimed that only my soul would be freed — or rather, obliterated— if he died."

"Hmph! If not for this wretched place, you would have succumbed to starvation long ago." A knowing smirk was on Twilight's lips.

With a casual wave of her hand, the cosmic guardian shattered the chains that bound Ginny, the runic etchings shattering like glass against the might of her power.

"How…?" Ginny's eyes widened in awe and whispered.

Twilight's smirk deepened, her gaze unflinching. "Does it matter?"

Ginny shook her head slowly, her spirit too weary to question the unfathomable. "No… As for your question, I have lost track of time."

Twilight sensed the passage of eons, the weight of untold ages pressing upon her cosmic senses.

"Damn!" The prison dimension began to tremble violently, its foundations cracking under the strain of her mere presence.

"We need to get out of here." Without hesitation, Twilight grasped Ginny's hand, her touch searing with unconstrained power, and tore a rift through the fabric of reality.

"Z-Zenta!" Ginny exclaimed, her eyes alight with reverence and gratitude as she found herself in the waking world once more.

Hot tears streamed down her face as she gazed upon her savior. "Thank you, Miss. I swear to Heaven that I will keep your identity a secret for as long as you desire, and I shall work tirelessly in your service. If I fail in this oath, may Heaven itself punish me."

As if in response to her solemn promise, a celestial force seemed to acknowledge and accept her binding pledge.

"..." Twilight was stoic, looking at the golden ring in her other hand, her expression inscrutable as she supported Ginny's weakened form.

With a snap of her fingers, she turned her gaze towards a towering structure in the distance, then back to Ginny.

"I will take the two of you out of this city first, then summon my subordinate." In the blink of an eye, the trio vanished, only to reappear in the serene embrace of a forest glade.

Ginny found herself resting beside Zinta, her eyes seeking out Twilight's enigmatic form. The guardian said a few important words, "I will return in five minutes. Wait here."

Ginny could only nod, her voice little more than a whisper. "Okay!"

As I re-entered the city limits, I witnessed my loyal subordinates fighting alongside Lucy, their blades flashing as they cut through ranks of shambling zombies.

Hajin, Henry, and their respective groups engaged in a relentless battle against the forces of evil. While the situation seemed dire, there was little I could contribute directly.

The familiar faces of my comrades turned towards me, and they swiftly made their way to my position.

Before a word could say anything, I snapped my fingers, transporting us all to the forest glade where Ginny and her husband Zinta were.

"Henry," I addressed my trusted lieutenant, "take these people into the organization. Also, give this ring to Zeno. You are dismissed."

I handed him a golden ring and turned my gaze towards Lucy, then Hajin, whose true realm was hidden and wore a black fox mask on her face to hide her identity.

My eyes on Ginny, I spoke with measured tones, "Go with these people. They will explain everything about your work within the organization and help in your recovery."

"Thank you, Miss. We both won't disappoint you." Ginny nodded her assent.

"As you wish, master!" Henry offered a respectful bow, understanding dawning upon him that I had recruited these individuals into our ranks.

With a portion of arcane energy, he transported Ginny away, secure in the knowledge that she would be well-cared for within the organization's embrace.

"Lucy, where is your home? I will leave you there."

Lucy pondered for a moment, realizing that even if he wished to conceal the information, this individual before him have the means to uncover the location without any effort.

Resigning himself, he provided his address.

Coincidentally, Luna resides in Aurora City, which is approximately 700 kilometers away from our current location.

Hajin, ever observant, confirmed the distance, adding, "I was preoccupied with eliminating the zombie threat and did not wish to disrupt your confrontation with Dracula, hence my lack of interference."

"Would you be so kind as to take us to Aurora City? Your swiftness would prove invaluable in this situation." I gave a nonchalant shrug, acknowledging her words. 'The moon is beautiful today!'

Even with my divine powers, instantaneous transportation across such a vast distance is beyond my capabilities. However, she has the ability to fly us there within a matter of an hour, if not sooner.

[Next day]

Last night, after bidding a fond adieu to Lucy, I strolled into my humble abode – a mansion so vast, it could comfortably house a small nation.

Or At Least 50 people could live here, And has everything, gaming room, swimming pool, garden, maids, etc.

Earlier, I'd sat down with my allies Gwen and Ely to weave a tale most grand.

I regaled them with the harrowing saga of my daring escape from the big city, leaving them distraught and Ely damn near drowning in her own tears.

With a casual wave of the hand, I excused, claiming a kind-hearted cultivator had taken pity on this poor soul and offered aid.

To my bemusement, they bought that cock-and-bull story hook, line, and sinker, likely too relieved to see me hale and hearty to question the details.

Both people had already left this realm this morning. Come the crack of dawn at 6:30 AM, Arle and I were in front of Luna's manse.

"She must be richer!"
