[Chapter Size: 1900 Words.]
Third Person POV
Hogwarts.
...
...
Snape continued his meal normally and finally left the Great Hall to go to the dormitory early, under the watchful eyes of many; seeing this, Lucinda stood up and followed him. Snape felt a bit burdened by this girl always trying to stick to him like glue.
Then he tried to ignore her, while she began striking up a conversation with him through the hallway, but he didn't pay much attention, just headed to the destination. Entering the dormitory, she kept talking and Snape made some excuse about being busy and went to his room, leaving the girl alone.
He really wanted some time before sleeping, looking at his room which was much more organized than the first day, he went to the headboard of the bed and picked up his study book, and started reading it to try to find anything he might have missed in the forbidden session and began reviewing all the notes.
It was only after an hour that he finally went to his bed to sleep, waking up the next day before sunrise and got up to do his daily mission, training again at the lake.
It was a Thursday, he would have a Transfiguration class in the morning and a Spells class in the afternoon; he was looking forward to the weekend to do his things outside the castle.
Then, he quickly left the castle without anyone stopping him, and quietly went to train at the lake, where again, Hagrid saw him fighting Dumbo in the lake. The boy returned to school and went to have breakfast, entering the common hall while people still looked on, especially his own house.
Evans glanced at him, with a slightly sad look after everything she heard yesterday, the Snape she knew seemed to no longer exist, and he openly despised her. She had ignored him before with her desperation, but now she had cried for hours because of his words.
"Are you okay?" A friend asked, after all she had heard about what happened in the corridor at the Astronomy Tower and noticed Lily crying in her room, since they were roommates.
"I'm... just a bit thoughtful..." She commented, glancing at Snape walking through the middle of the corridor.
"You should forget he exists, Evans, it doesn't do you any good and you haven't spoken for over a year..." Her friend had advised.
"I know... but..." Evans still remembered how Headmaster Albus had asked for this and she even tried to see if there really was a person inside Snape's body, but she couldn't bear how he had scorned her without caring about her, clearly this Snape wanted nothing to do with her.
Meanwhile, Snape started to ignore all the stares and sat down at the table, picking up some things to eat.
"Hi!" Suddenly, Andromeda appeared next to him with a smile.
"..." Snape stopped and looked at her then, but didn't respond, just shaking his head.
"What are you going to do this weekend?" She asked, hoping to invite Snape to Hogsmeade.
"I'll be busy..." He said, not wanting to waste time on that.
"Hm... that's too bad... Maybe we can do something when you're free." She said, clearly trying to flirt with Snape.
Some students looked at that quite surprised, after all, the Black sisters were quite reserved, although Andromeda was the most expressive of all, while Bellatrix was always grumpy and ill-tempered, to the point of being hostile and aggressive. Narcissa maintained a more reserved personality.
He continued listening to Andromeda talking about various topics, trying to engage him, but Snape completely ignored her until the end of his first meal.
He finally stood up and began to leave heading towards the library, since his first class would be Transfiguration with Gryffindor, however, as he was expelled by Minerva for his lack of respect for the teacher and he was not going to apologize to that woman.
He went to spend his time with more useful things, passing by his relative who always looked at him with a grim face, entering again the forbidden section.
Well, he spent most of the morning there, over the books on space magic trying to make his notes with his current understanding.
Meanwhile, in another room in the main tower of the castle, the headmaster stood in front of Horace Slughorn and Minerva McGonagall, discussing the events of the past few days. He had summoned them both to review the events of Tuesday and try to reach a consensus between the two.
Albus began, looking at his colleague, "Professor Slughorn, I heard that you had a disagreement with Professor Minerva." He started.
Minerva interrupted before the professor could speak. "Albus, he took 200 points from my students!" She practically pleaded.
"Stop being hypocritical, Minerva," Horace immediately complained, not believing how this woman could say that after what she had tried to do.
"But that's not fair," she argued.
"Not fair? You just took 50 points from Snape without any evidence of what he or your students did, just based on your students' accounts, who don't have a very positive track record," Horace said with a frustrated tone.
"Oh, my dear fellow teachers, we must calm our tempers a bit, and we must come to a conclusion that everyone can agree on..." Albus commented, trying to keep the two professors under control with a grandfatherly voice.
"A light mood when there's been cowardice happening and they don't want to pay the price for such a thing," Horace scoffed.
"Please, Horace, maybe the students exaggerated. I'm sure this won't happen again, right, Minerva?" Albus spoke, looking towards Minerva who quickly felt reassured.
"They are good boys, they won't do something like this again," she said.
Horace gave Albus a stern look, which even made Albus give a somewhat apologetic glance.
"Sorry Albus, but I can't accept this, either you remain neutral, or I'm leaving the school, I'm sure Snape doesn't want that," he said, stomping his foot while Albus was quite surprised by this.
"We don't need to make such extreme decisions, professor..." The director spoke more cautiously, after all, Horace was an important ally in the ongoing magical world war.
"Snape told me how the school is biased and never did anything to help him with the bullying, you think I want to be part of something so disgusting?" Horace spoke angrily.
"Alright... We won't annul the points taken..." Albus sighed while Minerva, still shocked by Horace's self-dismissal, looked at Albus in horror.
"But that's 200 points!" Minerva cried out immediately.
"Calm down, Minerva..." He asked her not to be so desperate... His gaze returned to the potions professor. "How about we reduce the points then, 50 points for all Gryffindor students and Snape can't lose more than 10 points..." He said, hoping his colleague would agree.
"Tsk. Alright, but Snape can never lose more than 10 points, I hope you keep to that," Horace said and began to leave.
Minerva still remained in the room with the director, watching the professor leave. "How was your class?" He changed the subject.
She sighed, although it still hurt to lose 50 points, it wasn't the initial 200. "I had class with the Slytherin and Gryffindor fifth years..." She said.
"Did he show up...?" He asked.
"No..." She responded grumbling.
"That's a shame... do you know if Miss Evans has spoken to him again?" Albus asked, wanting to know if his plan was working.
"No... From what I've heard from some students... They argued yesterday and she cried for hours in her dormitory..." She spoke and looked at Albus.
"That's a problem... Alright... you can go, you have your class with the sixth year... now." He dismissed her and Minerva started to leave at that moment.
Meanwhile, Snape continued to mark everything interesting after reading some more books from the forbidden section. He felt some gazes on him from outside, with some students trying to look in and spy on him. Snape wondered for a moment who it might be and what they wanted, but probably assumed it would be some idiots as usual and returned to his reading.
"So it's true, he can come in here and we can't?" A student in Slytherin robes spoke angrily, seeing someone sensible on that side.
"What has this half-blood done to get something like this?" Another student complained nearby.
"Don't worry, we'll find out his secrets soon, my father taught me how to use Imperius over the holidays and I tested it on some Muggles..." a student said with a sadistic smile. "We'll have our chance to find out how he got those things," he finished.
They were seventh-year students in Slytherin, seeking to teach Snape a lesson for his affront against the great houses, and as proud pure-blood nobles, they wanted to make Snape toe the line.
Snape continued with his reading until he finally finished and saw that it was midday, and he wanted to eat something. So, he left the forbidden section and went straight to lunch.
Meanwhile, the Slytherin students seemed to follow him as he left the library. 'These guys are persistent...' Snape couldn't help but think when he noticed he was being followed by those idiots.
He turned down a corridor in one of the towers, not heading to the common hall, and continued to the desired area. Meanwhile, the Slytherin students quickly reached that corridor but saw that Snape had disappeared.
"Where did he go?!" They exclaimed, confused.
"Let's go! He must have run after he noticed us!" Another exclaimed, and the group quickly chased after the boy, passing in front of a giant painting, which was the entrance to the kitchen where the house elves worked and Snape had just entered there.
None of those students had suspected this, after all, few people knew about the castle's kitchen, and the Slytherin members were not very curious about where this place was located.
Snape was now inside the cafeteria, surrounded by elves, as they offered all kinds of food they could produce there for Snape.
Snape was accustomed to this and picked what he most wanted from them, while he ate and finally left the place satisfied.
"Goodbye!"
"Come back soon!"
"Try my strawberry cake next time!"
The elves shouted at him as he exited through the door. He had a class early in the afternoon, which was Charms with Hufflepuff and a professor he did not find to be one of the bad ones at the school, Flitwick, someone he even found somewhat enjoyable to attend for Charms classes.
