Chapter 90 - Chapter 90: Obelisk Tower

James and Saya were on the bike, as they left the town. Yuriko took the wheel of the Humvee and drove behind them.

"So where are we going now?" Saya asked, looking ahead. She wrapped her arms around his waist. Her breasts pressed onto this back. Saya thought he had a strong back.

James felt the melon on his back. He thought, truly heaven. He looked ahead. "We are going to the Pylon now. We have everything we need to get out and boost the signal," James responded.

"When we say pylon do we mean pylon?" Saya asked.

"Yes, it's those electricity towers, everything happens under there," James replied. Saya nodded. As they made a turn Saya saw the path to the farm. She remembered being here a few moments ago. The Charger, she thought.

James tightened his grip on the handlebars as he drove down the dimly lit road, the engine's hum. The cornfields loomed on either side. As James approached a fork in the road, he looked back in the rearview mirror, catching sight of the Humvee's headlights. He raised his hand and indicated left, signaling to the others in the Humvee to follow. He turned the bike onto the narrow dirt path.

The path was narrow. James slowed down. The Humvee followed, its massive wheels crunching over the uneven dirt road. The thick, dry corn stalks scraped and slapped against the windshield and sides of the vehicle.

Rei sat in the passenger seat, as she looked around at the dense wall of corn outside. "This place feels like a maze," she muttered.

"Anything could be hiding in that corn," Saeko commented.

They continued down the winding path, the narrowness of the road forced Yuriko to slow the Humvee to a crawl. The vehicle's powerful engine growled. Yuriko thought the vehicle was heavy right now and hoped it wouldn't get bogged down.

Finally, the path opened up into a small clearing, and the group caught sight of the pylon rising up from the ground like a monolith. Its metal frame silhouetted against the night sky. James pulled his bike to a stop at the base of the pylon.

Saya looked around for any signs of movement. The Humvee came to a halt behind them. Rei, Saeko, Shizuka, Lois, Yuriko and Jasmine left the Humvee.

"We're here," James said.

Jasmine tilted her head back, looking at the towering structure. "So this is a pylon?" she asked.

"Yes, it is," Saya replied, nodding back.

"Anyone want to help me with this?" James asked, turning toward the group as he prepared to unload the equipment from the Humvee.

Shizuka immediately raised her hand, a bright smile on her face. "I can help!" she volunteered enthusiastically.

James smiled back. "Alright, Shizuka, let's get this unloaded," James responded. He added, "We also need to set up the turrets and the Turbine in the four legs of the pylon. They'll help us hold off anything that tries to get too close," he ordered.

"We can help with that," Lois replied. Yuriko, Saeko and Jasmine nodded.

Shizuka followed James to the back of the Humvee. Together, they began unloading the various pieces of equipment they'd need for the task. James carefully lifted the Meteorite, its surface still glowing faintly. Shizuka grabbed the Nav board. James hauled the Power Box over one shoulder and the Radio over the other. They brought all the pieces to the middle of the pylon. They put it on the floor.

"So do we need to build it?" Saya asked. At that moment, there was a bright light. They could hear the sound of saws and hammers. They looked away. James saw Jasmine and Saeko put the second turret down with the turbine.

The sound and light stopped and they saw a table built. It looked like a radio set-up with a meteorite on top.

"That's the first step done," James announced.

Shizuka began jumping up and down. Her large breasts bounced with each leap, as she sprang toward James, and gave a tight hug. "We did it, James! The first step is done!" she exclaimed.

James chuckled, patting her back. "We sure did," James replied. Her large breast touched his chest.

Rei and Saya looked at each other and rolled their eyes at Shizuka's exuberance. They smiled looking at her.

Meanwhile, Lois and Yuriko placed the third turret near the leg of the pylon, alongside the Turbine. On the opposite side, Saeko and Jasmine were just finishing with the fourth turret. They activated their Turbines, and a low hum filled the air as the machines began generating electricity. The turrets, initially pointed downward, slowly rose to their operational positions.

"We're done on our side," Lois reported.

"Those turrets were useful back at that place," Jasmine said.

"They were for sure but we should prepare for the worst. It's better to be ready than to be caught off guard." Saeko responded by resting her hand on the hilt of Slasher.

Saya nodded in agreement. "Okay, what's the next step?" she asked, turning to James.

James looked up at the sky. He could see dark clouds were gathering overhead, swirling ominously as flashes of lightning illuminated the horizon.

"The next step is to kiss a beautiful woman under the Tower," James teased back.

"Kissing a beautiful woman," Saya said. She then realised what he said. "You pervert," she shouted. She looked a little flushed and angry.

"She does look cute when she gets worked up," James said to Yuriko.

Yuriko smiled. "You missed your chance for a kiss sweetie," Yuriko responded.

"She already got one for drinking the perk bottle back in Town," Rei replied.

"You did as well," Saya replied back.

"Wait, you all got kisses for drinking?" Yuriko asked.

"Where is my kiss," Shiuzka asked, waving her arms.

James thought he needed to change the conversation, the weather was getting worse. "Kisses will be given soon. But in all seriousness we are going to need to EMP Grenade the Avogadro when it gets near to the centre of the pylon," James explained.

They heard rattling from the cornfields.
