Suddenly they were thrown into reality. James' vision was slightly blurry. He looked to see all the girls slowly getting themselves together.
"That was a shock," Rei commented as her vision slowly came back.
"You should have warned us," Saya added.
"I do feel a bit sick," Shizuka said.
"That was different for sure," Yuriko remarked, getting herself together.
"You do get used to it," Lois said.
"It's not the worst," Jasmine said.
"Danna-sama something is wrong," Saeko said looking out the window. She held Slasher out.
James peered out the window and his eyes widened. He saw a rectangular, multi-story building with a flat roof. The word "BUS'' was written in blue neon. There were large windows, some of them boarded up. Next to the building was a bus.
The bus was underneath the shelter and parts of it were on fire. The bus was a large, boxy, grey vehicle with a flat roof and rectangular windows. He could see the rear of the bus with four tail lights. "Damn," James said.
"What is wrong?" Rei asked.
"We should not be here," James replied as he got the Multiversal Remote out. He tried to press the green button however it did not work. He pressed it again and there was no response. Then a message came up. "Signal not found. Amplify," it read.
"Something is wrong for sure," Lois said, looking at the waste land. This was definitely not their home. It reminded her of the Theater which they got stuck in. Lois thought, it's happened again.
James stared at the Multiversal Remote. Monty again, he thought. I will have his head for making me go through this. After a moment of contemplation, he turned to the group. "Okay, this is not good. We're stuck in this world overrun with zombies because the Multiversal Remote isn't working," he began. "The good news is, we can leave once we amplify the signal. But to do that, we'll need to fight through the hordes of zombies and complete almost like a quest," he added.
He paused, looking into the eyes of each member of the group. "I know you've all been through a lot. But if we pull together and lend me your strength, we can get out of this nightmare. Then we can relax back home. I love you all, and I believe in us," he stated.
"I am behind you, Danna-sama. Always," Saeko declared.
Lois nodded. "Always with you. We're a team, lovers. We'll get through this together," she said.
"I love you, James. I'm with you forever, no matter what," Jasmine replied.
"Count on me, James. I'm with you, too." Rei replied firmly,
Saya, trying to lighten the heavy mood, smirked slightly. "And I can't let you go off on your own without doing something stupid," Saya replied.
Shizuka raised her hand. "I'm in as well. We're all in this together," she added.
Yuriko, her voice tinged with a gentle humor despite the dire circumstances, chuckled softly. "Love? Well, my daughter is right. It seems trouble has a way of finding you, James. But you have our support. We're with you."
"Thank you, all of you," James replied. He thought a battle cry and speech will make them a bit more lively. It was always good to hear praises from others. He thought it does wonders to the ego but there was a task to hand.
"Okay, since we have the Humvee and the bike, we will avoid using the bus," James said.
"I was not planning to," Rei said as she looked at the bus. It looked like it came out from a horror movie. It gives her the chills.
"There is fog outside where we have something called the Denizen, flying creatures which try to rip your head off," James explained. He added, "We have good shots, so we can kill them before they harm us."
"That sounds scary," Shizuka said.
"Unfortunately some of the things we need requires for us to go into the fog but with the bike and car, we should be okay," James assured.
"Let's get out, we need to collect a few parts here," James said.
"Parts?" Saya asked.
"Yes, think of this place like a game, we need to collect parts to build something, that something will open another thing, which we will use to build another piece," James said.
"You do know a lot about this place," Yuriko commented.
"I do my research," James replied
"Well, we should get going, I don't like the feeling of this place," Rei commented. They exited the Humvee.
"Shizuka stay with the Humvee," James said.
"Yuriko do you need a gun?" James asked.
"I dropped my pistol somewhere so yes please," Yuriko replied.
"We need to get her the perk drinks," Lois commented.
"They tasted awful," Shizuka shouted.
"But they are useful," Saya said.
"Young lady, drinking with your friends," Yuriko teased. Saya pouted.
"Don't worry, she was responsible," Rei giggled.
"Uuuurrrr," a noise was heard. They saw a zombie with blue eyes, wearing a blue gown.
"Why does that zombie look like he came from the hospital?" Rei asked.
Saeko went into action and slashed the zombie with Slasher. "Well we will now never know," Saeko replied.
"Lets show Yuriko the weapons we have and get the bike down first," James stated.
"Sure I can help with that," Lois replied. James smiled and walked over and gave a peck on the cheek.
"I can as well," Jasmine said as she turned her cheek to him. James thought that was cute and hot. He kissed her cheek as well. Jasmine smiled.
"I want one as well," Shizuka pouted. James leaned over and kissed her forehead. Shizuka smiled and touched her forehead as she swayed in her seat.
Yuriko had a warm feeling seeing that
Lois opened the suitcase. Yuriko saw there was a lot of ammunition for their guns. She picked up the AR-10. "This will be okay for me," Yuriko said.
"We will need to get it upgraded," James said.
At that moment, another zombie came out of the fog. Rei aimed her M4W. She pressed the trigger and the single bullet went flying out of the chamber. It hit the zombie in the head and it dropped dead.
"We should keep moving," Saya said. They all nodded.
"James, between me, Yuriko and Shizuka we can get the bike down, do what you need here," Lois said.
"Okay," James replied. "Jasmine, Saeko, Rei and Saya, come with me, we will get the first few parts for the mission," James said. They all nodded.
