"So, are we heading out now?" Shizuka asked. She looked around at the group.
"Yes," James confirmed. He added, "We will leave by the end of today to head to our new home." Saeko nodded.
"New home?" Rei echoed, eyebrows raising in surprise. Her gaze flicked to James, seeking clarity.
"You'll see," James assured her with a faint smile. "We discussed this before, remember?" he questioned.
"Everything you say sounds like the ramblings of a drunk, crazy man," Saya muttered, crossing her arms over her chest. Her sharp eyes bore into James.
Jasmine chuckled softly, breaking the tension. "He did turn into a giant lizard," she pointed out.
"I know," Saya sighed, shaking her head. The memory of James's transformation still seemed unreal to her.
"Let's start to get ready," James said.
As they moved to gather their belongings, Rei wandered to the window. Her eyes widened as she spotted a familiar figure below. Anger surged through her veins like wildfire. "Shido," she hissed under her breath, her eyes narrowing. Beside him, two girls walked beside him.
Rei's fists clenched at her sides. Without another word, she stormed across the room, yanking open the suitcase by the bed.
"We should keep that hidden," Lois said softly, concern etched on her face as she watched Rei pull out her M4W rifle.
Ignoring her, Rei loaded the weapon, then she sprinted out.
"What happened?" Saeko asked. Rei took some questionable actions in the past however this was bizarre. She could feel the same anger and bloodlust off her, similar to hers.
"Let's go," James said firmly.. "But keep the weapons out of sight," he added. The group nodded, as they moved to follow Rei.
Rei sprinted down the hallway, her heart pounding in her ears.
Downstairs, Shido was being given a tour of the facility by a man in a pristine white suit. Misuzu and Kawamoto followed closely. Shido, wore a smug grin, his eyes gleamed.
He recalled how he had manipulated Yuuki to gain entry, leveraging her innocence and desperation. He smirked at the memory, sex sells, no matter the situation.
"Thank you for the tour," Shido replied.
"Not a problem," the man said. He added, "You must be tired after saving these school kids and surviving."
"I am just a humble teacher, doing my bits to protect the little ones," Shido said. Misuzu looked at Shido. He was a lying scumbag. She remembered when Naomi did not want to participate in the free time so they tried to force her. Her boyfriend came, however he was overpowered and they threw him out of a moving bus. Naomi jumped after him. Then Shido said, "They were not true believers." She did not care too much about them. She was busy kicking that boy who she could not remember his name but his body would.
"You are indeed, risking your life for others, your father must be proud of you," the man replied.
He thought his father was a politician. To the world, he was a powerful man however for Shido, he was just scum. He left his mother who then committed suicide. However he then got a call from his father who told him to flunk Rei. Her father was being annoying. He did.
"The students are the future, it is important to save them," Shido said.
"You are admirable," the man replied.
Rei ran down the stairs, her eyes locking onto Shido. The sight of him filled her with a cold fury. She tightened her grip on her rifle.
"Shido!" she shouted. The sound made everyone freeze in their tracks.
Shido turned, his grin faltering as he saw Rei, her face a mask of rage. He took a step back, momentarily thrown off by the sheer intensity of her presence.
"Rei," he said. Sweat started to drop from his face looking at the rifle. "How are you doing?" he nervously asked.
"Where did you get that from?" the man asked, looking at the rifle. It had a unique pattern, sights and an under barrel attachment. It looked like a seriously kitted out weapon, no it was even more advanced than that.
"You know, how did I learn to shoot? My dad would take me to the shooting range together, we used to have such a good time together," she explained. "My dad was a police officer," she added. "You made him suffer," she shouted. "He was a proud man but he apologized to me saying he was the reason I was behind a year. It hurt him, it hurt me," she explained.
"I know it was you." Rei said. "I did not mind because he was going to arrest you and your father," she added. "But now," she said. She pressed the gun into his face. Her finger on the trigger.
"Are you going to kill me?" Shido asked, his legs shaking. "You could have done it before," he added.
"My mind was not in the right place, Takashi had died, saving me," Rei replied.
"Your childhood friend, your boyfriend also left you, he was with Yuuki," Shido remarked. "He said you were a terrible girlfriend," he taunted her.
James and the others appeared behind her. "You better watch what you are going to say or your brains would not be the first thing to get splattered," James warned.
Shido's eyes flicked between them, calculating. "Well, this is a surprise," he said smoothly, attempting to regain his composure. "I thought you were dead," he added. He remembered him transforming or changing and fighting that monster. He could feel his bladder weakening.
Misuzu looked at Jasmine wearing a blue crop top that exposed her stomach and shoulders and arms and a blue matching split thigh skirt. She got angry watching her beauty. Misuz thought who does she think she is, wearing such clothes. She bit her lip.
Jasmine watched Misuzu, the person who she saved, the person who let her friend die. She just ignored her. It made her angry but she was not worth it. She looked at James and Rei. She wondered what Rei will do. There seemed to be bad blood between them. She could feel Shido was a horrible person. Misuzu got furious, she was getting ignored now.
Lois looked at the scene. She thought Rei was too sad before, however James changed that. Kawamoto looked at Lois. She was so pretty. She had strong arms and long legs. She could imagine her being underneath Lois. She thought about having some time alone with her.
"Then splatter him, or kill him," a voice was heard. They all turned to see Souichiro walk in.
"Father," Saya whispered.
"I am somewhat close with his father but it does not matter," Souichiro added.
James stood silent. He did not care what happens to this scum. "Should we stop her?" Shizuka asked.
"He is a bad person but killing him is wrong," Jasmine said.
"It is up to Rei to make that decision herself," Sakeo stated.
"She is right there, we are behind you whatever decision you make," Lois agreed.
Misuzu was fuming. She was such a goody two shoes. It made her angry. She thought she was not perfect, yeah she was hiding something.
"Very well kill me then," Shido said. There was fear in his voice. He smiled.
Yuriko appeared behind James`s group. She saw the commotion. Yuriko thought. will she kill him. This world, she thought.
Rei's gaze was as cold as ice, her eyes piercing through Shido as she leveled her gun at him. Her finger trembled on the trigger for a moment before she pressed it. A sharp click echoed.
Shido's face contorted in fear. He looked down, expecting to see blood, and his body betrayed him as he pissed himself.
Rei's lip curled in disgust. "You're not worth it," she said, as she lowered the gun.
James stepped forward, pulling Rei into a hug. The tension in the room began to dissolve as everyone exhaled in relief. James's arms around her felt like a protective shield. Rei thought he felt nice.
"Is that your decision?" Souichiro asked.
Rei looked up from James`s hug and said, "Yes."
Misuzu watched the scene with disgust. Her leader, the man who had manipulated and coerced them, pissed himself. Pathetic, she thought, her eyes narrowing in contempt.
Shido, regaining a sliver of his composure. Rage replaced his earlier fear, and he glared at Rei. "You...," he began. He took a step forward, however Lois stepped in and delivered a swift punch to his stomach.
Shido doubled over, gasping for breath. Lois giggled, shaking her hand as if the punch had stung her slightly. "I've been wanting to do that," she said with a mischievous smile.
Saya and Saeko exchanged nods of approval. "Nice hit," Shizuka remarked. Saeko's eyes sparkled with satisfaction at the sight of Shido in pain. She looked at Rei and thought she could control herself.
"Take your leave," Souichiro commanded, his voice stern. "You have tainted these students with your cowardice," he added.
Shido, still gasping, grabbed Misuzu and Kawamoto's hands and stumbled toward the exit. Misuzu's eyes blazed with anger; not only had Jasmine gotten another win, but now this pathetic excuse for a leader was humiliating them further. Kawamoto, who had harbored a silent admiration for Lois, cursed under her breath at how Shido had ruined her chance of talking to her. Both girls' resentment festered as Shido dragged them along.
They climbed into the bus, its doors slamming shut with a metallic clunk.
"What happened?" Hisashi asked. Yuuki had her shirt open and bra exposed as she looked at the wet spot in Shido`s pants.
Shido didn't respond. His face was a mask of simmering fury as he took the driver's seat and started the engine. The bus rumbled to life, and with a lurch, they pulled away from Saya's house, leaving the scene of their disgrace behind.
The group watched them go. "Good riddance," Shizuka commented.
"Yeah, they were annoying," James added. "Rei," James said.
Rei looked up from the hug. "You are the best girlfriend," James stated. "You all are," he added.
"All?" Yuriko questioned.
Saya became flustered. "He is being stupid," she added.
