Lefi and Lois looked serious. James thought for a second, most of the rules were fine. He will be allowed to grow his harem and expand it. They would need to approve members however that was fine, most of the girls will be easily approved. The baby part was okay as well, this dungeon can expand and if he needs another safer place, he can move around. The rules also require consent but gives him power over them as well. He thought that was interesting.
So far so good, the only problem with the rules was no sex outside the harem members. He thought about visiting a certain world on a nightly basis to review and research various specimens. He thought that was a minor set-back however if they joined the harem then no problem. He smiled.
James reached over and touched their shoulders. He gently grabbed them and pulled them towards him. He hugged them both. "I know this was difficult for you, I love you both," James stated.
Lefi and Lois`s head were on James`s bare chest. They could see his strong body. They both smiled. "I love you too," Lois replied. She had left everyone to be with him. It felt right, it felt good.
"Thou love you," Lefi meekly said. Her voice was quiet but strong. She spoke with Lois and she told her to be brave and take things. She listened to Lois' story and her sad and lonely life and how James saved her. She thought in some ways how similar she was to her. She found a friend to trust. She wanted to be with James as well.
They stayed there for a minute. "Okay, time to eat, food is getting cold," James said. He let them go.
"What have you got us?" Lois asked.
"Thou curious. Thou smell very good and this looks interesting," Lefi added. She was eyes the packet of biscuits.
"This is for you," James said as he handed the biscuits over. Lefi took it and opened the packet. She took a bite and the flavour of the chocolate attacked their tongue. She was overwhelmed by the deliciousness.
"Thou is amazing," Lefi said as she took another biscuit.
"Careful, that was for later, breakfast is here," James countered. Lefi was not listening.
Lois took the lid out. She saw a hearty and savoury meal consisting of fried eggs, crispy bacon, pork sausages, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and heated baked beans in tomato sauce.
"An English Breakfast," Lois remarked with a hint of excitement evident in her tone, her eyes scanning the spread of sizzling sausages, and perfectly fried eggs. She remembered the days at her parent's house when servants used to serve them. With her husband, it was her doing all the cooking.
"It smells good," Lefi added, her voice betraying her eagerness as she leaned in closer to inhale the savoury aroma wafting from the plates. The tantalising scent of the breakfast had drawn Lefi towards it like a magnet, her stomach growling in anticipation.
"Well, dig in," James encouraged with a grin. With eager anticipation, the girls eagerly picked up their utensils and began to eat.
"This is so good," Lefi remarked between mouthfuls, her face lighting up with a wide smile as she savoured the flavours of the beans mingling with the richness of the bacon.
"Yes, this is delicious," Lois chimed in, nodding in agreement as she reached for another slice of toast.
They continued to eat. "Lefi, can you teach us magic?" James asked.
Lefi finished her piece of toast. She smiled. "It will cost you," Lefi teased.
"Sure, I can give you more cookies and biscuits," James replied.
"Deal," Lefi replied. Lois thought that was easy. She should have asked more. She will tell her later.
"Do you feel mana?" Lefi asked.
James paused for a second. "No, I don't think so," James replied.
Lefi got up. "Hold your hand out," Lefi said. James nodded and held his hand out and touched Lefi. Lefi blushed.
"Okay," James replied.
As they held hands, Lefi poured mana into James. James could feel something but it was not pleasant, it felt horrible. Suddenly the Ultimatrix faceplate popped up. "Warning excessive energy, detected, being absoring," the Ultimatrix said. The Ultimatrix glowed green. The mana flow was being redirected. Lefi stopped.
"Energy levels back to normal," the Ultimatrix confirmed and the faceplate went down.
"You don't have any mana in your body at all," Lefi exclaimed in shock, her eyes widening with disbelief.
"I thought I was going to explode," James confessed, his voice tinged with a mix of anxiety and relief.
"You would have," Lefi confirmed with a solemn nod, her expression serious. Lois, who had been listening intently, looked on in horror at the thought of her love being in such danger. However, Lefi's serious demeanour suddenly shifted as she broke into a mischievous smile. "I was just kidding, I can control my mana," she added with a playful wink, her tone lighthearted.
James couldn't help but smile in return, though deep down, he knew the situation could have turned dire if Lefi hadn't been joking. The realisation of the potential danger lingered in the back of his mind.
"You are a Dungeon Manager, however you have no magic. This could be bad," Lefi said. She smiled and said, "You have me, so I can support you." Lefi laughed.
"What sort of magic are we talking about?" Lois asked.
"Magic can be divided into Earth, Fire, Water and Wind but there is also Time, Light and Darkness magic in the world," Lefi explained.
"That thing seems to hold some great power. I could feel it," Lefi said. Her eyes narrow on the Ultimatrix.
James smiled. He showed the Ultimatrix to her. "This is the Ultimatrix, I can transform into various aliens and beings," James explained.
"Yes, it is very powerful," Lois added. When she saw the two aliens she was shocked and intrigued at the same time. It was a fascinating power.
"Transform into aliens?" That scan?" Lefi questioned.
James popped out the faceplate of the Ultimatrix. A hologram appeared. They saw the silhouette of a large dragon. It had large, imposing horns. A huge body with massive wings. It was positioned on all fours.
"It scanned yourself Lefi, it detected you were different and not a human. Its main purpose is to preserve life by having all life forms scanned in here," James explained.
"Wow that sounds cool," Lefi said. Her mouth was wide open.
"But what do you mean preserve life," she added.
"The Ultimatrix was designed not as a tool for war but as a tool to ensure that if all life dies, it has the power to kick life again. It has various DNA of species which can be used," James explained.
Lefi and Lois looked interested in it."How many lives does it have in there so far?" Lois asked.
"7," James replied.
"Only 7, that sounds like a bad use of it," Lefi remarked.
"I only had 5 and got 2 when I go here, the more I collect, the stronger I will become," James commented.
Lefi looked at the Ultimatrix. It definitely had more power. There was something in there.
They finished eating their breakfast. "The shower room is there now," James announced.
"That's great news! We can finally enjoy a proper shower," Lois exclaimed with enthusiasm, her excitement mirrored by the prospect of clean, refreshing water over her skin after a day of fighting zombies and love marking.
Lefi, however, looked puzzled by the term. "What is thou shower room?" she inquired.
Lois wasted no time in taking action. "Come on, let's go see it!" she exclaimed. She grabbed Lefi's arm and pulling her along in her excitement.
James couldn't help but sigh, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He thought of taking a step outside to see the world.
