The swamp, once full of puddles and reeds, had now been turned into a series of enclosed pools.
The water rippled, revealing swarms of darting fry.
The houses that separated these pools emitted a faint stench of fertilizer.
The composted manure mixed with the pitch-black muck of the swamp was undergoing a wondrous transformation.
These newly built fertilizer factories, controlled by the domain, were in operation.
For a long period, the fertilizers produced by these factories would be supplied exclusively to the Bay Territory.
This was bound to be a loss-making venture, even if the costs were low, only the domain would carry it out.
The vast majority of the fertilizer produced would be used for soil enrichment transformations in the nearby agricultural fields.
