Before that, naturally, he needed to erase all traces they had left behind.
The purpose of this was to conceal their tracks, to prevent anyone from following their trail and discovering the place.
Matthew had everyone sign a Magic Contract for profit-sharing and secrecy. After receiving the contracts, everyone was in high spirits.
Of course, after they returned to the surface world, Matthew would certainly need to promote this a great deal more.
