Dense crossbow arrows flew from the distant dense forest.
They fell sporadically into the Orc Army.
The Orcs struck by the arrows screamed in agony as they fell to the ground, poisoned.
Most of them were resilient and did not die immediately.
This, however, led to another serious consequence: seeing they could no longer march, other Orcs began to get other ideas.
Their weapons and equipment were stripped clean, and anything valuable was looted.
Those with better luck were left where they fell, waiting for death.
Those less fortunate were beaten half to death on the spot.
In the current situation, it was death either way!
The Adventurers trailing behind were not about to show them any mercy.
What tormented these Orcs the most were the astonishingly numerous Iron caltrops covering the ground.
Unless wearing iron shoes, each Orc's foot was punctured with one bloody hole after another.
