Arnold watched as Elder John took lefts and rights, passing through several checkpoints manned by soldiers, and asked curiously:
"Where are we going?"
"This doesn't seem to be the way to the conference room, does it?"
Elder John made a silencing gesture, saying mysteriously:
"Don't ask, we'll be there soon!"
Seeing Elder John so secretive, Alod restrained his curiosity and followed him to the entrance of an underground chamber.
Elder John placed his hand at the entrance, and a faint red scanning spell swept over.
Standing behind him, Arnold felt a slight chill down his spine, squinting slightly at the steel door.
Without turning back, Elder John quietly waited for the door to open and then he explained:
"This is a secret base built by My Lord, only known to a few of his most trusted people, and now you have also become one of his most trusted confidants."
A small jump in his heart, Alod wasn't clear about the purpose for which My Lord had built this place?
