The ice surface was lit up, and a tracked snow vehicle was parked on it, its lights shining far into the distance. The plane landed guided by those lights.
The snow wasn't very deep, just past the ankles, so it was still possible to sit in a wheelchair, but Yang Yi didn't use one. Kate supported him as they walked towards the bright lights of the snow vehicle.
The body of the snow vehicle looked like a large van, except the wheels had been replaced with tracks.
Seeing the auroras in the sky, Yang Yi understood that his location was, if not inside the Arctic Circle, then very near to it, and in such a place, only tracked snow vehicles could operate normally.
Yang Yi walked towards the bright lights and a person emerged from the shadows beside them. Then, he said in a deep voice, "Hello."
