Marquis of Brecken pushed open the door and came up behind the Great Prince, who was standing at the window. He bowed and said, "Your Highness, did you summon me?"
"You've done well in uniting the northern nobility and West Island."
The Great Prince turned around, "Now I have another task for you."
"What task?"
"Have you read the 'Daily Mail'? The latest issue from this morning."
"I haven't had the chance yet."
"Read it now."
The Great Prince pointed at the newspaper on the table, "Read it, and then we'll talk."
Marquis Brecken picked up the newspaper and started reading earnestly. When he came across the headline about Councilor Tangnale, he paused in surprise, "Did the Second Prince really take action against Tangnale?"
The day before, the Great Prince had secretly convened a meeting with members of the Liberal Party—discussing merely the considerations for the upcoming election.
