Marvin, unsurprised, continued, "Then why did you take Evelyn away?"
Edward looked up abruptly, the subject changed so quickly he almost didn't catch up.
When the dark tide came, Holy Maiden Evelyn was gravely injured and on the brink of death. Edward took her away, then headed to the northern part of The Kingdom and only returned to London today.
Marvin had wanted to ask this for a long time. Evelyn was merely the Holy Maiden of the Church. Edward had only confronted her once; there wasn't much animosity or obligation, so there must have been a reason for him taking away the grievously wounded and dying Evelyn.
