At 10 a.m., Marvin and his two companions took a carriage and hurried back to Ker Street No. 99 as fast as they could.
In the church, Mrs. Cecil was sitting in front of the statue, registering believers who had come to apply for housing repair funds, when Marvin burst through the small door to the left of the statue before she could even react.
"I've thought of something big!"
In the study, Marvin pulled out a chair, gestured for Levin to sit down, then took out a stack of blank paper, a quill pen, and an ink bottle from the drawer, and placed them on the table along with the Book of Truth. He then patted Levin on the shoulder and said encouragingly, "It's all on you now!"

Completely confused and with no idea what was happening, Levin looked bewildered: "What stuff? What are you talking about?"
