A tentacle shot straight at his face, but the tall and thin man casually sidestepped it, his dagger slicing through something as if cutting through the air, yet no blood flowed.
The wounded Muriel grew even more enraged, the fog around violently swirling as tentacles attacked from all directions. The tall and thin man kept his eyes fixed on Marvin and the others not far away. Feeling the wind around him, his eyes lit up with a blue glow, his body suddenly exploding into a cloud of black mist that rose and rolled, dodging Muriel's assault and charging toward Marvin and his companions.
His orders had not been to kill Muriel, but to bring Muriel back to the laboratory. With Demon Hunters in pursuit from behind, engaging in a brawl with Muriel was clearly not a wise choice. Only by dealing with Marvin and his party could he successfully take Muriel back.
