"What? You're saying that Levin Boje didn't return to the hotel last night?"
At 8 a.m., inside the Truth Church, Marvin turned around while cleaning a statue and looked down at Little Black in surprise.
"Yeah!" Little Black nodded, speaking rapidly, "At first, I thought he had sneaked into one of the troupe member's rooms up to no good, so I didn't dare act rashly, but he still hadn't returned by morning, which freaked me out. But lucky for me, his cat knows everything. After I threatened it, it confessed everything!"
Marvin slid down the ladder, placed the mop aside, sat on the bench, and picked up Little Black to press further, "Did you really succeed?"
"Of course!"
Little Black held his head high, proudly saying, "No matter what, I, Little Black, have also had my share of street fights back in the day!"
"Though you were quite unsuccessful, weren't you? But it wasn't your fault! It was because Flora and the others were xenophobic!"
