Something was dug up beneath the house?
Marvin followed the construction supervisor, Hald, to the worksite not far from the hotel, a bit surprised.
Since it was already night, and construction couldn't make too much noise at this hour, Marvin had planned to renovate the original basement of the restaurant to expand its storage area. Therefore, the construction supervisor had the workers excavate and lay bricks at night. Unexpectedly, just as the floor tiles were lifted and they dug less than two meters down, they suddenly hit upon something.
The dim basement was lit by the glow of a few kerosene lamps, illuminating the construction workers' bewildered and frightened expressions. They stood next to the dug-up earth, not daring to make a move.
Who didn't know about the incident that happened in Flower Street a few days ago?
If it weren't for Hald instructing them to watch this place, they would have run away in fear long ago.
