Jelan felt as if his internal organs were on fire, excruciating pain spreading throughout his limbs. His muscles twisted, like a live fish thrown into boiling oil, gasping for breath, his entire body filled with unbearable agony.
Gradually, the struggling Jelan calmed down. He seemed to have no strength left, slumped on the ground with only his eyeballs able to move. The pale skin stretched tight over protruding bluish-black veins, which rapidly turned blood red, suggesting the immense pain he was enduring from his heaving chest.
After nearly half an hour, the bulging red vessels returned to their bluish-black color and receded back into Jelan's body. Slowly, he could move again, his strength returning, a glimmer of light rekindling in his eyes.
"Half an hour... unable to move... extreme pain... no threat to life..."
Throughout this half-hour, Marvin had patiently observed Jelan's reactions and recorded every symptom.
