Heart-tail Grass, a plant that only grows in high-latitude areas, adapts to cold climate conditions, able to survive even under the cover of ice and snow. It thrives not on sunlight but dwells deep underground, surfacing only during the budding period.
Because the tender buds are golden, many mistake them for the most valuable part of the Heart-tail Grass. In reality, the most useful part of the plant is its inconspicuous rhizome, whereas the bud cores are actually highly toxic.
