Paris, Palace of Versailles.
"Caesar is of no concern."
In a bright room, dressed in a blue lace-trimmed gown with a white undergarment, Napoleon lifted the red wine glass from the table, swirling it gently, and said to Marshal Virgil standing before him, "Trust me, he will be utterly bogged down by the foolish Sardinians."
Marshal Virgil, holding a bicorn in his hands, still seemed slightly worried, "But after all, he is Gaius Caesar, that legendary great figure. Ancient Rome was able to develop into an empire, and he played an undeniable part in it... and besides... he also claims to be the Governor of Gaul."
"Governor of Gaul…."
Hearing this title, which carried a trace of mockery, Napoleon didn't get angry. Instead, he laughed, "The original Caesar was indeed the Governor of Gaul; it's an indelible part of history. We should acknowledge it, confront it, and face it squarely, not run away from it."
