Under Marvin's invitation, the chief of the Ceran tribe emerged from the water. Its body was significantly larger than the other water devils, lacking eyes and a face, and appeared as if made of water, emitting a faint blue glow. In its hand, it held a snow-white spear with a barbed tip, likely fashioned from the bone of some creature.
"Humans... why do you obstruct our path?"
The massive Ceran chief spoke, its voice arising directly in the minds of all present, devoid of emotion but laced with caution.
Although the records stated that water devils from the Ceran tribe would not attack humans unprovoked, Marvin still wasn't sure whether the supernatural being before him was amicable towards humans. Any supernatural being that wasn't ferocious and bloodthirsty, killing for the sake of killing, could be 'tamed'.
The true nature of the Ceran tribe became apparent upon testing.
