On February 27th, Marvin and his companions boarded a train bound for Ulan-Ude, the sky a clear, cloudless expanse of azure. As the train's whistle proudly pierced the air, it traversed valleys blanketed in snow, revealing a city cocooned in ice at the railway's end.
Ulan-Ude, a strategic town in the eastern reaches of the Romanov Kingdom and the third-largest city in East Siberia, boasts a long history. With a permanent population of two hundred thousand, it is rich in various minerals and is renowned for its livestock and dairy industries. Two hundred years ago, a Cossack Tribe settled here by the banks of the Ude River, founding their own city. Two centuries hence, it has become the commercial and trade center of the eastern Romanov Kingdom.
