Wei Leng came over the next day after Zheng Tan agreed to help, just like before, Wei Leng phoned Mr. Jiao to give a heads up, then arrived at the courtyard, scanning around without spotting Zheng Tan. He rhythmically honked the horn a few times.
Zheng Tan was sleeping on a nearby tree, and upon hearing the car honk, he jumped down and approached Wei Leng's car.
However, unlike before, Zheng Tan didn't jump directly through the opened car window; instead, he walked away.
"Hey, Heitan, where are you off to? There's a famous star going to the Night Building tonight; it's a rare opportunity!" Wei Leng called out while driving alongside.
Zheng Tan jogged towards the gate of the university. This time he didn't run through the bushes but kept to the sidewalk so Wei Leng could see him. After leaving the campus, he headed over to Jiao Wei's family restaurant.
Inside the car, Wei Leng wondered what the cat was up to.
