Forced to stop halfway, Black Gold looked at Zheng Tan with confusion, not quite understanding why the cat was blocking its path.
The redhead maintained his previous pose, staring at the black cat blocking the way. After a few seconds, he withdrew his dagger and slightly raised his eyebrows, "Was that you on the 'wooden board'?"
Zheng Tan tugged at his ear, staring intently at the man. He had no doubt that if Black Gold had truly pounced, it would have been killed by the knife by now. Yet, Black Gold was still growling behind him, seemingly unwilling to give up and ready to pounce again.
Zheng Tan really wanted to turn around and slap Black Gold to make him behave, but he dared not remove his gaze from the man opposite. Judging from the silent takedown of a few people inside, his skills were clear. He didn't kill likely because he didn't want to deal with the consequences of a murder, but not killing people didn't mean he wouldn't kill a dog or a cat.
