The room gave Zheng Tan a feeling not of surprise, but of intense shock. The mention of duck feet by Ermao sent shivers down his spine.
After installing the camera, Zheng Tan and Ermao left the room, then went to open two other rooms.
The curtains in the bedroom and study were all tightly closed. The bedroom contained some work-related documents and a few locked cabinets, probably containing passbooks, which Ermao wasn't particularly interested in. As for the study, it contained a desktop computer that was password-protected. Ermao didn't have the technical skills nor the necessary tools to bypass this, but he managed to place a camera in an inconspicuous spot on the bookshelf.
"This person is either very cautious or inherently cowardly. He dares not let people know what he is doing, even covering the windows so thoroughly, or perhaps he has a dark psyche," Ermao muttered.
