Because of the thief incident, people who played with car models had a much better impression of Zheng Tan, and their tolerance increased significantly. Someone even made a simple 1:8 scale car for Zheng Tan to play with while crouching.
But like many things, once the novelty wore off, they grew tired of it.
Zheng Tan didn't really like having control in someone else's hands, and when being watched, he felt like a monkey performing tricks, crouching on car models and waiting for people to control the remote and make the car move. After playing a few times, Zheng Tan no longer crouched on the cars to play and lost the initial excitement about toy cars. Every time he finished his rounds, he would just stand by the windowsill, watch the people play with the cars, take a nap, and daydream about his own little car.
