Colin couldn't tell how long had passed when he snapped back to reality, only to realize that although the surrounding darkness remained, it no longer felt utterly intangible...
"Just what was that book? The 'Book of Fate'? Was I swallowed by it?"
Colin was full of doubts, but he didn't have the luxury to think further. He looked around and could clearly "observe" that numerous odd things surrounded him.
These things gave him the feeling they were about to engulf and cause him to lose himself...
Immediately, he instinctively "whooshed" up a flame, blocking out the suffocating sensation of being overwhelmed.
Following that, he saw those odd things were actually black threads, trembling and writhing; some were thicker, like iron wire worms, others as fine as hair...
"What the hell is going on?" Colin frowned, standing still.
