When his silhouette became solid, Colin looked around to make sure there was nothing strange in this fire-red world. Then, holding his revolver, he walked step by step to the edge of an empty well behind the ancestral temple and peered into it.
"It seems there's no water..."
Colin's finger flickered, and a large amount of flame, obedient like an extension of his limb, poured into the well. Through these flames, which felt like his own tentacles, he quickly discovered a spiral staircase leading downward about fifty meters, ending in a bluestone passage.
The passage was clearly man-made, cut into the rock. As he moved deeper, he could see a hall filled with ancient pots, jars, and some steles and inscriptions displayed around...
If not for the flames filling it up, completely illuminating the interior, it would have been rather cramped and oppressive.
"Is it an ancient tomb?"
Colin had a hunch, feeling that the style of this tomb seemed quite old, possibly from the Tang Dynasty?
