"Fuck, stop for a moment, we're not on board yet!"
"Quick, stop! What am I going to do without you, why didn't you give a heads-up before starting up..."
"Don't leave, don't leave, take us with you!"
"How can we live without you!!!"
"..."
The heart-wrenching cries of the employees came from outside the train carriage. Colin heard them, saw them, but he had no means to do anything, as the train was fully automated in some sense, and once set in motion, he simply couldn't control it...
Or more accurately, he didn't have the authority.
Outside the window, some employees tried to board the train by various means.
But even though the train wasn't moving very fast at this point, probably not much faster than an ordinary person on a bicycle, they still couldn't get on.
After the doors closed, all those trying to board found themselves unable to even approach the train itself...
The short distance seemed to be separated by an infinite expanse.
