Reflecting on the "branch office," it was quite difficult to come up with any effective conclusions.
Colin could only acknowledge that this thing might be even better at hiding than the Rat on Earth, making it hard to get a clear picture of the situation.

Previously in this world, he would often feel an invisible sense of being watched; in the beginning, he could chalk it up to paranoia, but later on, it clearly became improbable.

If given the chance, those things would have a significant likelihood of approaching...
Of course, that didn't necessarily mean an attack or revenge, but could also pertain to discussing some sort of cooperation.
