In the glow of the bonfire, wisps of eerie black fog slowly rose from the downward spiral of the staircase ahead...
"So, the thing those demons were afraid of is down there? But it seems I can't feel it..."
As he pondered, Colin manipulated the flames like a stream, cascading down the stairs layer by layer, pouring into the second sub-level area.
Through his flame perception, Colin "saw" that the layout of the second sub-level seemed similar to that of the first, with "M"-shaped intersections and the same cold metal constructs...
The difference, though, was the presence of some bodies below, as well as a denser black fog.
Overall, however, the problem didn't seem too serious.
Having reassured himself of this, Colin led his four companions downstairs.
As soon as they descended, it seemed they triggered something; not far away, some abnormal creatures suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
