Following the "mission" instructions, Colin and his team kept advancing through the concrete and stone-pillared sewer system for about seven or eight minutes before they finally came across a downward turn, marked by an "↑-2" sign made of special anti-corrosion material.
Still led by the three robust cylindrical robots, the group then turned and entered the second sub-level.
Upon descending, Colin noticed that the second sub-level seemed much more dilapidated than the first, but other than that, there wasn't much difference.
However, shortly after entering, their protective suits' built-in earphones started blaring an alarm.
"Anomaly detected! Anomaly detected! Anomaly detected!"
Several infrared rays from the cylindrical robots pointed towards a specific area up ahead.
Following their direction, Colin and the others saw piles upon piles of small animal skeletons on the ground, covered with short, black fur....
They didn't need the robots to identify what creatures they were.
