The above-ground world was ticking by at 7:30 PM, Niusel was still patrolling the streets of the Sporogenesis Mill.
Without a constant and unchanging sun, the Underworld lacked a unified schedule formed by sunrise and sunset.
Factories here never ceased operation, and workers didn't just work in three shifts... but also, each factory's working hours weren't fixed. Based on such a living and working schedule, the shops on the street didn't have set opening hours either.
This is also why surface-dwellers aren't suited for long-term life underground.
Once they get used to this "sleep as much as you want" lifestyle, they become uncontrollably lazy.
Yet at the same time, they can't work with the same freedom in their hours as the Underworld residents.
When they return to the surface, they find... even though they only moved vertically up and down, it still feels like they crossed time zones, like traveling from Noah to The Holy Nation, and they might even experience jet lag.
