Annan soon sent the players away.
Of course, this was after watching them take away all those books.
The great and gentle Mr. Planner thoughtfully prepared for the players some daily tasks to relax their minds between dungeon runs:
Annan didn't directly issue daily tasks, but he set up the "Archive" function so that every time a new "valuable book" was typed into it, they could obtain reputation rewards from the "Eye of Secrecy" faction, improve their own rank, and at the same time gain a small amount of reputation. Depending on their rank, they could also view materials in the Archive that were classified lower than their own level of secrecy.
——This so-called "Eye of Secrecy" faction was a fabrication by Annan, completely nonexistent.
Annan's goal was actually quite simple: to give players something to grind, and to turn the act of accessing information from "available to all" to a "privilege" that required a reputation level to perform.
