"What's wrong, are you confused from the fever?" Qiu Mo donned her pajamas and walked to Ji Yun's side.
She naturally drew close to Ji Yun, perhaps for her, this was a common gesture in their daily lives.
But Ji Yun still felt a trace of discomfort.
Even though memories kept flooding in, they were jumbled together like a poorly edited movie, forcefully stuffed into his mind in the form of a three-minute short clip.
He got the gist of it but still couldn't figure out exactly what had happened.
Qiu Mo's gentle hand rested on Ji Yun's forehead, then she placed it on her own smooth brow.
"You should be over the fever by now," Qiu Mo said.
"Well, I had a dream and my head's still a bit muddled. If you're tired, lie down a while longer, I'll go to the living room for some fresh air," Ji Yun told Qiu Mo.
"Mmm, don't overthink, we'll get through this flood safely," Qiu Mo reassured him.
Ji Yun nodded, still looking a bit lost, as he walked out of the bedroom.
