Passing through the low-lying old district, a number of tall buildings appeared in front of us.
Most residents from those old districts had evacuated here, where the terrain was somewhat higher, and the water level only reached the waist.
In the water, some people could be seen struggling against the flowing floodwaters. They carried the elderly and children on their shoulders, taking difficult steps toward those tall buildings.
Every building had people trapped inside, and except for the area they were in, everything around them was already submerged.
Some young and strong men accustomed to the water were more aware of the potential dangers and were trying hard to find supplies in the submerged area.
Any supplies would do—water, food, medicine, clothing...
The floodwaters from Lan City Lake showed no sign of receding anytime soon, and they must grit their teeth and endure until the waters receded!
