The Ye Family had four siblings by the generation of Ye Xing, with Ye Xing being the third, after his older brothers Ye Li and Ye Zheng, and a younger sister named Ye Qian.
Among the siblings, both Ye Li and Ye Zheng had a son and a daughter, whereas Ye Xing and Ye Qian each only had a daughter, therefore they were exceptionally fond of their girls.
Xiu'er was Ye Qian's daughter, named Ye Xiu, and this year she was only six years old. With big eyes and fair skin, she was quiet and adorable, resembling a porcelain doll, and everyone in the Ye Family liked her very much.
