Qingmei's residence in Capital City was also a villa, at least twice the size of the one in Lijing Garden. However, like the villa at Lijing Garden, it felt empty and barely alive inside.
Nannan had fallen asleep on Qin Hai's chest during the car ride. Upon entering, led by Qingmei to the second-floor bedroom, Qin Hai gently placed Nannan on the bed.
But even in her sleep, the little thing clung tightly to Qin Hai's neck, refusing to let go as if she feared he might slip away, which left both Qin Hai and Qingmei at a loss whether to laugh or cry.
Qingmei gazed at Nannan, gently stroking her cheek and sighed.
"I used to leave only after she'd fallen asleep. Eventually, she formed this habit of holding on to me tightly even in her sleep," Qingmei said.
Qin Hai looked up at Qingmei, surprised, "Sister Qingmei, why don't you bring Nannan to Chunjiang with you?"
