As evening approached and night descended, a black Range Rover drove leisurely down the road.
Qin Hai pointed to a small restaurant on the street and said, "Qiu Ye, what do you think about this place? I think it looks pretty good."
Qiu Ye, sitting in the passenger seat, glanced in the direction Qin Hai was pointing. It was a nondescript little eatery, very ordinary. She shook her head, "Not great, it's rare for me to treat you to a meal, we should at least pick a nicer place. This won't do."
Qin Hai gave a wry smile and said, "We've been driving around for almost half an hour now, Qiu Ye. Actually, any place would do for me. I'm not very demanding—if I can get a full belly, that's fine. If I had to ask for a bit more, just having some fish and meat would be enough. I can eat anything, be it sweet or spicy; I'm not picky."
Qiu Ye pursed her lips and smiled, "Your standards are really low, aren't they? Let's keep driving, we need to find a decent place."
